Participants will be welcomed by invited dignitaries including government representatives and the IUFRO President. Participants will also experience unique Korean hospitality.
Closing Ceremony
All delegates are kindly invited to participate in the official Closing Ceremony.
The new IUFRO Board members who will serve during the next Board period
from August 2010 to August 2014 will be presented and the country hosting the
next IUFRO World Congress will be announced.
Tree Planting Ceremony
A Tree Planting Ceremony will be held on Sunday 22 August starting at 13:00
hours. Further details will be given on the Congress website.
Welcome Reception
The Welcome Reception will be held for all Congress participants in the evening
of 23 August from 18:30 to 21:00 hours. Come and join this ¡°ice-breaking¡± event.
This is an informal opportunity for delegates to renew old ties and make new
friends while enjoying the Korean cuisine, music and dance.
Farewell Gala Event
Following the official Closing Ceremony, all participants are invited to join in a
celebration of all good things in Korea. A wide range of entertainment, food and
drinks will be offered. Participants will be entertained at this memorable event to
bid farewell to old and new friends. Traditional costume is more than welcome!
